With the weather finally cooperating, now is the perfect time to sneak away and enjoy all that Lincoln and the surrounding area has to offer. The Lodge currently offers discounted tickets for The Cannon Tram/Flume Gorge, The Lost River, and Loon. After a busy day of exploring, relax by our outdoor pool or on our back deck and take in the views of Pemigewasset River. Don’t feel like cooking after such an eventful day? Lincoln has many delicious restaurants, most in walking distance. For the perfect pre-summer getaway, The Lodge has you covered.
We love the holiday season, don’t you? This year we have been lucky enough to receive quite a bit of early snow! Loon and Cannon Mountains both opened early and are experiencing great early season skiing and riding. Now through December 15, we have a fantastic lift and lodging special. Rates start at just $222 for 1 night and 1 day of skiing for 2 adults. That includes all taxes and fees! We also have our Christmas Tree package going on now. Stay here at The Lodge, and take the beautiful ride north through Franconia Notch to The Rocks Estate. Choose your own tree and wreath to bring home and enjoy a sleigh or wagon ride while you are there. These are the holiday memories you and your kids will cherish forever. Come visit us this holiday season!
Bike Week: June 9 – 17, 2018
Laconia Motorcycle Week runs from June 9 – 17. Bike events, vending, and live music all week. We are situated about 45 minutes away from the heart of the action. Perfect for those of you looking to enjoy the ride with a little more peace and quiet! Use us as your base and ride the back roads of the White Mountains!
To some, this is called the “OFF” season because the winter activities are done, and it’s not quite time for the summer activities yet. To us, it’s the perfect time to enjoy Lincoln and the Western White Mountains of New Hampshire without the crowds! Here are a few of our favorite activities for this time of year:
This time of year, the birds are migrating back to NH for the summer. Bring your binoculars and bird book for a day in the outdoors. For you sportsmen (and women!) out there, spring is a great time to throw a line in the water and wait for your first nibble of the season!
Taking a train ride with your kids to the North Pole is a great way to celebrate the holiday season! Wear your jammies (with warm clothes underneath) and enjoy hot chocolate and Christmas carols as you make your way to the North Pole. If your kids are familiar with the story, they will definitely love this trip. You are greeted by elves and settle in for a reading of the famous Polar Express book and then are treated to a visit from Santa himself. Make a weekend of it and choose your own Christmas tree while you are here. Check out our packages and specials page for dates and details. Trust me, this will be a memory to treasure forever.
Some of the best things about the White Mountains are our rivers. We have some really great swimming areas where you can enjoy the cool crystal clear water with your family. This spot is called Lower Falls and it is located on the Kancamagus Highway between Lincoln and Conway. There are lots of flat rocks for spreading out your picnic and some great spots for swimming. Come check it out!
Last night we went on the moose tour with Pemi Valley Excursions. It was sooo much fun! We saw 10 different moose, a bear on the side of Cannon Mountain, and a couple of foxes. Even for a local who has seen many moose, this was exciting. Those guys at Pemi Valley Moose Tours run a great trip. I was impressed by their vast knowledge of the animals. In between all the info they were giving us, they made (cheesy) jokes and told funny stories. They knew just where to look and when. I’ve seen their bus around town for a while now, but had never been on a tour. Didn’t know what I was missing. And now that I do – we are offering lodging packages for our guests that include moose tours! This is a MUST for all visitors to NH. You will not be disappointed. Call to book your package today!
