Spring In The Western White Mountains

By UncategorizedNo Comments

To some, this is called the “OFF” season because the winter activities are done, and it’s not quite time for the summer activities yet. To us, it’s the perfect time to enjoy Lincoln and the Western White Mountains of New Hampshire without the crowds! Here are a few of our favorite activities for this time of year:

With the snow still melting from the mountain tops, this is the best time of year to view our local waterfalls. The runoff keeps the water levels high, and the water rushing. Don’t forget to bring your camera!
Bird Watching & Fishing:

This time of year, the birds are migrating back to NH for the summer. Bring your binoculars and bird book for a day in the outdoors. For you sportsmen (and women!) out there, spring is a great time to throw a line in the water and wait for your first nibble of the season!

Hiking & Biking:
Many of the area hiking and mountain biking trails are ready to go. Don’t forget about the Franconia Notch Recreation Path – a beautiful way to spend the day!
Resort Amenities:
After a full day of recreation, come back and enjoy our indoor pool, hot tub, saunas, game rooms, and sundeck overlooking the Pemigewassett River!
The only thing “OFF” are our rates! Enjoy the lowest rates of the year with no minimum stay requirements. We love spring, don’t you??!!

Polar Express!

Polar Express

Taking a train ride with your kids to the North Pole is a great way to celebrate the holiday season! Wear your jammies (with warm clothes underneath) and enjoy hot chocolate and Christmas carols as you make your way to the North Pole. If your kids are familiar with the story, they will definitely love this trip. You are greeted by elves and settle in for a reading of the famous Polar Express book and then are treated to a visit from Santa himself. Make a weekend of it and choose your own Christmas tree while you are here. Check out our packages and specials page for dates and details. Trust me, this will be a memory to treasure forever.
